A.I.M. Mutual Names Standing to Succeed Myers as CEO in Massachusetts

A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Cos. in Burlington, Massachusetts, announced that its board of directors has named President Michael E. Standing to succeed John A. Myers as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2015.

Myers, who has been serving as CEO and executive chairman, will stay on as chairman of the company.

Standing will maintain his current role as president in addition to taking on the CEO post.

Concurrent with these changes, the board elected Paul M. Kehoe as vice president and treasurer, effective Jan. 1, 2015.

Previously, Kehoe was controller for A.I.M. Mutual. As vice president and treasurer, Kehoe succeeds Gregory Shah, who had held the positions since 1994. Shah has been named advisor and corporate secretary, reporting to the board of directors.

The executive management transition has been under way since 2012 when Standing joined A.I.M. Mutual as vice president. He was elected president of A.I.M. Mutual in June 2013.

Previously, Standing was with Guy Carpenter & Co., where he was senior vice president – account executive and member of the Workers Compensation Specialty Practice. He has more than 25 years of property/casualty experience.

A.I.M. Mutual provides workers’ compensation coverage for 17,000 employers throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. This year marked the company’s 25th year as a workers’ comp insurance carrier in the region.
