Record sales increased +52% in 2014, and the 2014 numbers are up about +400% from 2009 levels. Digital album, digital song, and CD sales all saw slight declines in 2014. I read about lawsuits like this one, and I cannot help but recall the rampant practice of rightsholders paying radio stations for airtime.
