At an average of 5 drunk driving trials a day, can anyone blame this one judge for being harsh with their new offender sentencing?

That sounds like Government in action.
Now they can burden all the other courts and clog up the system. Why not just add another judge to the program?

Let’s end a “pilot program” because it revealed to be too efficient and too busy. Says a lot about what they wanted it to be. Another bloated bureaucracy with free time for the bureaucrats. Too busy…shut ‘er down!

Having watched how hard the judge in this court worked to be fair with everyone who came in, it was a difficult decision all around to end this program.
There are pros & cons about the whole set up — and the judge was absolutely professional every day with every case that came into the court.
