What if everyone who lives on the coasts of all the lands, walks to the sea or ocean or bay and fills a cup with water and puts it in their freezer. That should lower the levels.
40% of the world’s population is coastal. 7.5B x 0.4 = 3.0B. [3.0B cups] / [16 cups in a gallon] = 187.5M gallons stored in freezers. That’s enough to displace 285 Olympic swimming pools at 660,400 gallons/pool. Pretty impressive. On the other hand, that’s the same amount of water that the old Bar Harbor – Yarmouth ferry displaced every 9 minutes as it traversed the Bay of Fundy (0.5 pools/second), so maybe not so impressive, after all. But then, who needs math and science when we’ve got opinions and feelings to bring to the debate??? I’m sure it didn’t take an expert to land a man on the moon, and the agency responsible for bringing us that unremarkable sidenote of history (NASA) is just a bunch of quacks bought and paid for by___. And as for the 3.0B coastal dwellers, well they’ll just have to move inland, at a total cost of [who cares, look at Exxon’s 2017 bottom line!!!].
Got a better plan Jack. How about building Desalination Plants on all our coasts that draw water from the ocean and turn it into potable water just like the Saudi’s do. Should be able to provide a lot of water in case of drought and lower the water level as well. Makes a whole lot more sense than paying carbon credits so Al Gore can get richer.
I remember on especially hot days as a kid why all the car owners in the city didn’t just open their windows and let the air conditioning do its trick. Lol, ahh kids and their crazy ideas. :P
One thing this article skips is the contribution of land levels sinking in VA Beach. Double-barreled trouble for the area, but rising sea levels are assigned all the trouble in this article.

Al Gore sees the sea level visibly rise abruptly, and he quickly pulls out his journal and writes “Trump pulling out of Paris Accord has drastically accelerated the rise in worldwide ocean levels today, July 4, 2017”.
A few minutes later, Al Gore decides to wade into the ocean. Coincidentally, at exactly the same time, Gov. Christie leaves the water to towel off and relax on the NJ beach which is closed to the NJ public. The ocean levels remain the same height when Al Gore is fully immersed and Christie leaves. Al Gore writes in his journal, which he took with him, hoping to observe a rise in ocean water temperatures “water temperature isn’t discernibly different from when I last waded here, after dark.” Puzzled, Gore leaves the water and sees the level drop significantly to the level he observed before Gov. Christie entered the ocean thousands of miles away in NJ. Gore rips the pages he just recorded his observations on, tears them up, and tosses them into the ocean.
