A useful new coverage designed to reimburse passengers for flight delays was inaugurated by French travel company Go Voyages. On out-going flights travelers will be reimbursed 20 percent of the cost of the ticket if a flight is over 2 hours late, 30 percent for 3 hours, 40 percent for 4 hours, and 80 percent for more than a 6 hour delay. Slightly longer delays on return flights will also be reimbursed.
The premium is a modest 100 francs ($15) in economy and 300 francs ($45) in first class. The program, named “Go on Time,” is underwritten by AIG, and will be available to Go Voyages customers beginning the 1st of March.
