American International Group’s e-commerce site, aigdirect.com, is now offering a new program called AIGAssist that covers a package of travel insurance and 24-hour assistance services provided by AIG member companies.
Potential travelers can receive instant quotes from the website for coverage over trip cancellation/interruption, emergency evacuation, medical expenses and related services, which “can help facilitate cash transfers, provide lost documents assistance, medical consulting and monitoring, as well as legal, dental and medical referrals, including to overseas doctors and hospitals,” said the announcement.
