Swiss Re’s Center for Global Dialogue in Ruschlikon, Switzerland will be the setting for a conference on October 11 & 12 aimed at exploring ways for businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and finding solutions for a sustainable climatic future.
The meeting, entitled “Reducing greenhouse gases–anticipating tomorrow’s drivers, opportunities and financial solutions,” will focus on the ramifications and quantifying economics of cutting greenhouse gas emissions, including discussions of the effects of carbon dioxide emissions, and efforts to balance them through new forestry techniques and low carbon technology projects.
“As a leading financial service provider and reinsurer, Swiss Re has a vital interest in assessing and managing current and future risks to the environment. This conference is a major event in Swiss Re’s series of sustainability related initiatives. It is one of the first business-sponsored forums to bring together representatives of the regulatory process, the business and financial world, NGO’s and the media,” said the” announcement.
