Endurance Worldwide Insurance Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bermuda’s Endurance Specialty Holdings, announced that it has moved its permanent headquarters to No. 2 Minster Court on Mincing Lane in London.
The company received operating authority from the U.K.’s Financial Services Authority late in 2002, and has signed a 10-year lease to inhabit 12,000 square feet of office space on the 7th floor.
“We are very excited to establish ourselves in our new location and look forward to becoming a long-term participant in the market,” commented CEO Mark Boucher. “Last year, Endurance made the commitment to build a London subsidiary from scratch instead of acquiring an existing operation. By avoiding legacy and liability issues, keeping to our disciplined underwriting, and identifying a permanent headquarters, Endurance Worldwide remains dedicated to serving our clients for many years to come.”
Endurance Worldwide focuses on commercial property risks and international treaty business. Boucher heads an experienced senior management team, which includes David Ahmad, Head of Reinsurance Treaty Underwriting, and Andy Brooks, Head of Commercial Property Underwriting.
