Bermuda’s XL Capital Ltd. announced the appointment of Mr. Mark W. Callahan as Chief Actuarial Officer of XL’s Insurance Operations.
Callahan, previously a senior underwriter for XL Financial Solutions, XL’s alternative risk transfer group, will be based in Hartford, Conn., reporting to Dick Miller, Chief Financial Officer of XL’s Insurance Operations.
Prior to joining the XL group of companies in 1998, Callahan worked for Milliman in the U.S., establishing and managing its property/casualty office in Dallas and managing its Bermuda office. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
