GE Insurance Solutions announced that Hubert Oeckl has been appointed to lead the reinsurer’s Aviation Excess of Loss Treaty team.
The appointment comes as part of the group’s efforts to better serve customers and brokers through a restructuring of its Aviation Treaty Unit. Oeckl re-joins the company after having held a similar position with Munich Re for five years and will report to Global Aviation Leader Florian Karner.
The unit’s restructuring will also see Stefan Lenhardt head up the Aviation Proportional Team.
Lenhardt will have the additional responsibility for business development and analysis and will also lead a number of initiatives to improve service levels across all Aviation lines of business.
The Direct and Facultative Aviation Team headed by Rudi Flunger will remain unchanged.
