Bermuda-based White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd.’s Annual General Meeting of Members was held on May 19, 2005.
The company said: “Members approved proposals submitted to them by a majority of the shares voted as follows:
– Election of George Gillespie, Jack Byrne, John Gillespie and Frank Olson as Class II directors with terms ending in 2008 – 99 percent.
— Election of directors of certain of the Company’s subsidiaries – 95 percent.
— Approval of amendments to, and performance criteria in, the long-term incentive plan – 89 percent.
— Appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers as independent auditors – 99 percent.
President and CEO Ray Barrette commented: “We are extremely pleased and gratified with the support our owners have shown us by their vote. We will continue to strive to achieve results worthy of their confidence and continued support.”
