For the second year in a row, London-based RI3K, a provider of technology infrastructure for the reinsurance industry, has taken home three prestigious awards from ACORD, the global insurance standards organization.
RI3K received the following accolades:
– Certification Award
– Early Adopter Award – Transactions
– Shared Service Platform Provider Award
Last year it received the “Industry Leadership for Straight Through Processing Award,” the “Early SOAP Framework Adopter Award,” and the Certification Award” (See IJ Website May 25, 2004).
The company noted that there are now 146 “member companies registered with RI3K.” They include 19 cedants, 24 brokers and 103 reinsurers “with well over 1,000 individual users set up with a user name, password and personal security key.
“More than 1,400 lines have been signed through the RI3K infrastructure and the 2004/2005 renewal season saw a total of 642 lines signed,” the bulletin continued. “Gross premium attributable to bound lines to date (using estimated premium income for the proportional business) is now over US$1 billion.”
