PartnerRe Ltd. joined other Bermuda insurers – RenRe, and Platinum being the latest (See IJ Web site June 16) – in the small, but growing, club of reinsurers who have received subpoenas from the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York requesting information relating to finite reinsurance products.
The Company has acknowledged receipt of the request, and said – after noting that other companies had received similar demands – that it “intends to cooperate fully in responding to this and other requests for information from regulatory authorities.”
