Benfield, the independent reinsurance and risk intermediary, announced the opening of a new branch office in Taipei, Taiwan, “to service its growing customer base in the territory and to further enhance its presence in Greater China.”
Jentzu Pan has been appointed General Manager of Benfield Taiwan.
“We have enjoyed a long history of involvement with the Taiwanese market and we are delighted to announce this expansion of the Group’s operations,” stated Benfield Chief Executive Grahame Chilton. “We see a significant opportunity to develop our existing relationships and expand the provision of our market-leading broking and risk advisory services in Greater China.”
Pan has spent the last 15 years working for Cathay Financial Group’s Cathay Century Insurance, where he was responsible for their reinsurance operations across all lines of business including both treaty and facultative placements.
