Risk Management Solutions has published a report on the “most catastrophic river floods for at least 200 years,” which occurred in the UK in March 1947.
“The flooding, which inundated nearly all the main rivers in the South, Midlands and the Northeast of England, was notable for its origins, regional extent and duration,” said the bulletin.
60 years after the event RMS’ report gives a retrospective view and “assesses the economic and insurance costs that would be associated with a repeat of the same event in 2007.”
