Marsh announced that Kartina Thomson has joined the firm as a Managing Consultant within its Modeling, Analysis and Design team, based in the London office. She will “focus on delivering enterprise risk management solutions to the team’s international client base,” said the bulletin.
Thomson, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, joins Marsh from Aviva, where she was Complex Commercial Pricing Manager in the Commercial Underwriting division.
Man Cheung, Leader of the UK Modeling, Analysis and Design team, praised Thomson’s “skills and experience,” as well as her expertise in “stochastic modeling, geo-mapping, and algorithm standardization,” adding that they would “fit perfectly with our existing team.”
Marsh’s London office Modeling, Analysis and Design team comprises specialist actuaries, statisticians, risk and insurance professionals who deliver risk solutions to clients, including integrated financial and hazard risk solutions, analysis and determination of future loss distributions, evaluation of the use of captive insurance companies and the design of bespoke decision-making models.
