The UK-based Novae Insurance Company Limited, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Novae Group plc, has appointed Jonathan Morgan unit head of its regional financial lines division in the UK and Ireland.
Morgan started his career at Lexington, where he specialized in professional liability underwriting. He joins Novae from AIG, where he worked for three and a half years as its South East financial lines underwriter. Prior to this he worked for Gerling (before it was taken over by Sagicor) underwriting professional and financial classes of business.
He has also worked for Zurich Financial Services, in Switzerland, as professional indemnity manager for one of its global specialty divisions.
Bill Edrich, underwriting director of Novae Insurance, described Morgan as a “highly respected underwriter in the market,” and indicated he was pleased to have him join Novae. Morgan seemed equally happy, indicating that Novae “has earned a great reputation in the market since its inception last year.”
