Willis International Holdings announced the appointment of Margo Black as CEO for the group’s reinsurance operations in Brazil. She will be primarily responsible for the technical and sales development of wholesale business in Brazil, using the local platform to access the specialist capabilities of the Willis.
Willis also said that Black will “represent the Group’s treaty division, Willis Re, in expanding their client offering in the newly-opened Brazilian reinsurance marketplace. Margo will be based in the Group’s Rio de Janeiro offices.”
Black has over 30 years experience in the international reinsurance market. She has worked in Germany, Great Britain and Latin America. She joins Willis from Allianz Brazil where she was the main board director responsible for the insurer’s Global and Corporate Division managing corporate risks, large brokers, global programs and commercial reinsurance matters. Prior to joining Allianz Black served as COO for the JLT Group and was responsible for the Latin American division.
Both Eugenio Paschoal, CEO for Willis Latin America and Jason Howard, CEO for Willis Re International welcomed Black to Willis.
