UK broker Miller, a specialist independent insurance and reinsurance broker, announced the appointment of Neil Higgins, as a global facultative reinsurance specialist.
Mike Papworth, Head of Facultative Reinsurance at Miller noted Higgins “very strong reputation in the London market,” and indicated that his “appointment represents a significant step in development of our capabilities in this growing area of our business.”
Higgins joins Miller from Newman, Martin and Buchan LLP where he was a Director of the Property and Casualty Divisions. Prior to that he was a Director at reinsurance broker PWS.
He has over 20 years of experience in the industry “with a background in international property reinsurance, as well as extensive experience of placing business for a wide range of industry sectors including oil & petrochemical, power, and heavy industry manufacturing,” the announcement concluded.
