Specialist underwriting agency DUAL Ireland has expanded its Dublin-based team with the appointment of Martha Gorman as Development Underwriter for financial lines.
She joins DUAL from Marsh where she was a commercial broker focusing on financial lines.
DUAL said the appointment is part of its strategic expansion plan, “which continues to add new expertise and geographical reach to its financial lines account.”
Gorman will focus mainly on D&O, PI for financial institutions and commercial crime and will be involved in developing strong professional relationships with a large panel of brokers, while growing and developing DUAL Ireland’s existing portfolio and gaining new business. In doing so, she will apply policy wordings that are specific to the Irish market.
She was previously with Marsh as a commercial broker, focusing mainly on PI, D&O and employment practices liability, managing a large portfolio of clients. Prior to that, she completed law degrees at the University of Limerick and has Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Ireland. She will report to Brian Martin, National Underwriting Manager at DUAL Ireland.
Martin cited Gorman’s “track record as a specialist broker in financial lines,” which he said “speaks for itself. Her knowledge of Irish business and law will be a significant addition to an already very dynamic Dublin operation.”
