Toyota is no longer the quality car it used to be. They are built cheap. I have a 09 Camry and the water pump went out on it three months ago. Plus the gas mileage sucks

I have a 2008 Prius and my water pump went out two months ago. It cost me about $440 to have replaced at the Toyota dealer. However, considering that I had over 162,000 miles on the car and that has been the ONLY problem I really can’t complain. I get my oil changed about every six weeks (I drive 36,000 miles a year) and I will be asking my service rep at the Toyota dealer about a refund or partial refund for the water pump. In all, it is the best car that I have ever owned.
Sorry to hear about Susan Smith’s experience. I’ve been driving a Camry rent car the past two weeks as my Prius is in the body shop after I hit a cyote. The Camry has a great ride and feels like a good quality car but, the gas mileage can flucuate considerably depending upon how I drive it – sometimes good (36mpg) and sometimes not.

Nothing but problems with my 06 Camry…just replaced the water pump yesterday. Granted it is 7 yrs old but only 12,000 miles per yr. I have replaced the engine, radiator, had an acceleration accident, repaired the wipers, had car lock with keys in ignition, running. Nothing but junk and it is my 5th camry, 6th Toyota.never even looked at anything else.

Camry 2007 purchased new in 2007. Always has burned a quart of oil every 1000 miles. In 75000 miles replaced brakes, water pump engine. Toyota reliability is now just a myth when compared to their vehicles from the 1980’s and 90’s. Worst car I have ever owned.

Have any Toyotas been know to leak, or have water damage inside the vehicle? My carpet has been getting soaked, and is starting to show of mildew.
