January 8, 2016

ArgoGlobal has appointed Jeremy Shallow as Credit and Political Risks Class underwriter. He takes up his position with immediate effect, reporting to John Moffatt, head of Specialty.

Shallow joins the company from Aspen Insurance where he served, most recently, as deputy head of its Credit and Political Risks Division. In this role, he played an integral part in the significant growth and diversification of this established book, ArgoGlobal said in a statement.

Shallow began his career with WestLB AG (now Portigon Financial Services) in 2005, as a graduate trainee, culminating with his appointment as a director in Insurance Solutions, where he was responsible for sourcing and purchasing credit and political risk insurance for the bank’s global loan portfolio.

John Moffatt said, “Jeremy is a highly talented underwriter with a track record of exceptional risk selection and an ability to develop and manage successful books of business. His experience on the client side has afforded him a level of insight which allows him to consistently provide solutions tailored to insureds’ needs and he has demonstrated an entrepreneurial acumen which will play a key part in our ambitions for this sector. I am very pleased to welcome him to ArgoGlobal.”
