Towergate Insurance announced the appointment of Neil Pearce as managing director of Towergate London Market.*
Pearce will join Towergate on Sept. 5, 2016 and report directly to group Chief Executive Officer David Ross.
Pearce joins Towergate from RKH Specialty where he was executive director responsible for the UK and International Liability team. He was previously managing director of Windsor Insurance Brokers for 20 years and executive director of SBJ Marine and Energy.
The appointment follows that of Paul Longhurst as Broking and Distribution director, who begins working at Towergate on Aug. 11, 2016.
“Neil’s appointment signals a clear intention by Towergate to accelerate growth in this space. He is without doubt a London market heavyweight who’ll bring serious gravitas to our EC3 operation,” commented Ross. (EC3 is the postal code of London’s insurance center).
“With a clear remit to focus on the UK wide network of Towergate brokers to provide London market solutions, I am genuinely excited by a real opportunity to breathe new life into this offering,” said Pearce.
“I am particularly looking forward to revisiting the Towergate London market identity, to spending time with colleagues and customers to better understand the purpose and ‘soul’ of this business, so that we can deliver against a clear set of shared objectives, which will undoubtedly give an enhance competitive edge to our brokers,” Pearce added.
