ProSight Appoints Green & Kennet as Senior Leaders for Its Lloyd’s Operation

Morristown, N.J.-based ProSight Specialty Insurance has made two key appointments to the management team of its Lloyd’s operation, ProSight Specialty Managing Agency.

Philip Green becomes finance director while Jonathan Kennet has been appointed to the role of deputy active underwriter. Both take up their roles with immediate effect.

Green joins from Advent Capital Holdings where he was chief financial officer since 2009. Previously he was the company’s agency finance controller and group financial controller. His insurance career includes senior roles with AEGIS London and Amlin plc. A chartered accountant, Green has also worked for a range of financial services organisations including ING Barings.

Kennet was most recently head of global fidelity for AIG and was based in New York. He has 30 years’ experience in the general insurance market including senior underwriting roles with Munich Re, Chubb and Zurich International in London focused on financial institutions. At AIG, he led the company’s global crime insurance portfolio and held responsibility for underwriting strategy, product innovation and business development of this specialty.

Phil brings deep financial experience, particularly at Lloyd’s and within international insurance groups, while Jonathan is focused on improving our underwriting technical capabilities and boosting growth,” commented Michael Furgueson, managing director of ProSight’s managing agency.

“ProSight seeks to partner with specialist intermediaries and MGAs to offer differentiated cross class solutions that meets the needs of clients in select sectors,” he explained.

In a statement, ProSight said it focuses on the development and growth of scheme business in target niches which include film and entertainment, marine, building and building services and personal accident.
