“The board and policyholders agreed that it was time to change our name to reflect the broader scope of services provided by our company,” said Richard F. Russell, President & CEO of the Amerisure Companies.
Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company was formed in 1912 by members of the Michigan Manufacturers Association to provide Workers’ Compensation insurance through a mutual insurance arrangement.
Today, Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company has grown by adding affiliate companies under the Amerisure name. Its downstream holding company, Amerisure, Inc., owns Amerisure Insurance Company and Amerisure Partners Insurance Company, regional property and casualty insurance companies, and Amerisure Business Solutions I Corporation, a professional employer organization. Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company also owns Amerisure Re (Bermuda) Ltd., an offshore reinsurance company.
