Insurance Federation Elects New Officer/Board Members Five insurance industry executives have been newly elected as members of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Federation of Minnesota at the IFM’s annual meeting in St. Paul.

The new board members are: Daniel E. Barr, President and Chief Executive Officer of Minnesota Fire and Casualty Company, Minnetonka; Eugene J. Keating, President and Chief Executive Officer of Northland Insurance Company, Mendota Heights; John M. Lund, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sons of Norway, Minneapolis; Robert W. McDonald, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America/Life USA, Minneapolis; and Michael Stinziano, Vice President, E.W. Blanch Company, Bloomington.

The five new members will serve varying terms. The Board of Directors also today elected a new Secretary/ Treasurer of the Federation, Joseph J. Pingatore. Pingatore is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of MSI Insurance Companies, Arden Hills.

Two Board members were newly elected to the IFM’s Executive Committee. The two are Patricia R. Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of State Fund Mutual Insurance Company, Bloomington, and Robert W. McDonald, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America/Life USA, Minneapolis. In other business, a retired IFM Board Member was honored with a resolution of appreciation.

Lowell C. Anderson, Chairman, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America/Life USA, Minneapolis, was honored for his 11 years of service on the IFM’s Board of Directors. Anderson served as Chairman of the Federation from 1996 to 1997.

The Insurance Federation of Minnesota is a state trade association representing the interests of nearly 80 mainly Minnesota-based insurance companies and their customers. The IFM was founded in 1914.
