Five insurance industry executives have been elected to the board of the Insurance Federation of Minnesota. IFM members also selected a new slate of officers to lead the organization.
Bruce H. Lonnes, president and CEO of Austin Mutual Insurance Group, has been elected chairman. Lonnes previously served the IFM as vice chairman. Bruce J. Nicholson, president and CEO of Lutheran Brotherhood was elected vice chairman.
The new board members are Carl Ludvigsen, chief medical officer, Prudential Life Insurance Co.; Jeff Mauland, president and CEO, North Star Mutual Insurance; Greg Sather, executive vice president, Professional Insurance Agents; Kevin G. Smith, branch manager/vice president, Chubb Group of Insurance Cos.; and Todd Johnson, Minnesota executive director of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Minnesota.
The board re-elected Alvin L. Parsons to the post of president and CEO; Robert D. Johnson to the post of executive vice president; and Joseph J. Pingatore as secretary/treasurer of the IFM. Pingatore is vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of MSI Insurance Cos.
