Just months after Erie Insurance began writing insurance in Wisconsin, the property/casualty insurer announced its intention to expand operations even further into Minnesota by September 2004.
This is the 12th state that will be served by the company, in addition to the District of Columbia. In Minnesota, The Erie will be writing all lines of insurance the company offers, including auto, home, business, life and annuities.
Erie Insurance currently writes in Indiana, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Minnesota will be the third state in the Erie’s Heartland Region along with Wisconsin and Illinois.
