Parker Services L.L.C., Stevens Point, a member of the Sentry Insurance Group, and the Wisconsin Council of Safety, Madison, are offering OSHA and DOT-related safety seminars for businesses in January.
“Confined Space Entry” covers OSHA’s permit space program; how to enter and work safely in a permit space; and the training and duties of the entry team. It will be held Jan. 14 at Sentry Insurance, 1800 North Point Drive, Stevens Point; Jan. 15 at WCS Headquarters, 501 E. Washington Ave., Madison; and Jan.16 at Sentry Insurance, 20300 Watertower Blvd. no. 100, Brookfield.
“Preparing for a DOT Audit” focuses on the procedures, requirements and regulations that owners and managers of commercial fleets must meet in order to operate their vehicles safely and pass an audit by the U.S. Department of Transportation. It will be held at the same locations — in Stevens Point on Jan. 22; in Brookfield on Jan. 23; and in Madison on Jan. 24.
The fee for each daylong session is $155 for clients of Parker Services and Sentry Insurance, and members of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and the Wisconsin Council of Safety. The general public tuition fee is $185 per session. All sessions carry .60 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the Wisconsin Council of Safety.
