The St. Paul Companies named Scott Shader vice president of underwriting and product development for Small Commercial. Shader will be responsible for product development, marketing strategies and underwriting direction for Small Commercial, and he will monitor and address trends in the small commercial marketplace for the Minnesota-based insurer.
Shader joins The St. Paul from The Hartford, where he was senior vice president of business development. During his almost 20 years with The Hartford, he also served as senior vice president of Financial Institutions and regional vice president, and he held several other senior field management positions.
