Ohio-based Safelite AutoGlass, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, has partnered with OneBeacon Insurance Group, Boston, under which Safelite will provide auto glass and claims management services for OneBeacon’s policyholders.
Under the new agreement, Safelite will act as the claims administrator for
OneBeacon’s auto glass program, OneBeacon Auto Glass Center, including taking first notice of loss, scheduling service appointments and processing auto glass claims invoices. In addition, Safelite will offer auto glass repair and replacement services to OneBeacon policyholders through its retail operation.
Safelite will administer all automotive glass claims for OneBeacon’s policyholders, regardless of what glass company actually performs the work. Safelite associates will verify coverage and deductibles while on the telephone line with the policyholder; arrange for convenient mobile or in-shop service by Safelite, a network provider, or a glass shop of the policyholder’s choosing; and handle invoice processing for OneBeacon.
Safelite administers programs for more than 80 national and regional insurance carriers nationwide, with policyholder satisfaction rates averaging 98 percent.
