Paragon Announces Executive Promotions and Appointments

Minneapolis-based Paragon Reinsurance Risk Management Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Benfield Blanch, one of the world’s leading reinsurance intermediaries, announced the promotion of Kristi L. Wilts as Senior VP-Operations, Corrina Conley as Sr.VP, co-manager for Operations, Marshall Erickson, Sr. VP-Sales and Marketing, and Mark Laulainen, Sr. VP for Reinsuarance Administration.

“Ms. Wilts will also focus on bringing together various pricing, contracting, and servicing aspects, ensuring profitability and consistency across the organization,” said the announcement. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Associate in Reinsurance, and “will shortly complete her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.”

Conley rejoins Paragon as co-managier of the Operations team “while also managing specific outsource engagements and providing strategic direction.” She’s been with Paragon and Benfield Blanch for the last 17 years, and is an Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance designation and with a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management.

Marshall Erickson joins Paragon from SwiftKnowledge, Inc. where he was VP of Sales and Business Development. He’s also held executive sales positions with SPS Commerce Inc. and Firstlogic Inc.

Laulainen previously served as VP of Transition Reinsurance at ING Re and in various claims and underwriting positions at Prudential Insurance.

“Both Kristi and Corrina have been invaluable to Paragon and Benfield Blanch throughout the years, and they will continue to provide leadership and direction to our organization as it grows,” stated Theresa Schugel, President of Paragon. “Also, Marshall and Mark are key additions to our senior leadership team, and they will be instrumental in driving growth and generating new business.”
