Four Illinois insurance trade groups will host a day-long meet-and-greet for insurance professionals and state legislators in Springfield March 18.
The event, “Insurance Industry Legislative Day,” is an annual event organized by the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois, Illinois Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Illinois Insurance Association and the Illinois State Association of Health Underwriters, which together represent 70,000 insurance professionals in the state.
J. Anthony Clark, the newly appointed Director of the Illinois Department of Insurance, has been invited to address the gathering at the Hilton Hotel in Springfield. Gov. Rod Blagojevich has been invited to address attendees as well.
Following the speakers, participants will have the opportunity to meet with their representatives and senators at the State Capitol Complex. A reception for agents and their legislators at the Hilton will bring the event to a close.
