Alan D. Brannan has been named the new president of personal lines underwriting at Columbus, Ohio-based Grange Insurance following a thorough countrywide search. He most recently served as president and chief operating officer for the Massachusetts personal lines division of One Beacon Insurance, where he reconfigured the business model of the group and improved its efficiency.
Brannan’s versatile background includes a stint with ePolicy, an e-commerce and application software provider based in Torrance, Calif., where he was the senior vice president of business operations. Before that he spent nine years with the Progressive Cos., where he managed substantial growth while managing markets in Ohio, New Jersey and New York.
Grange offers auto, home, business and farm insurance through independent agents in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
