Markel American Insurance Company (rated “A X” by A.M. Best) is teaming up with Water Warriors to support Special Olympics.
Water Warriors is an organization that operates as a branch of Special Olympics Michigan. Their main goal is to raise money for Special Olympics Michigan and is comprised of men and women from all walks of life. Water Warriors participate in an annual endurance ride on personal watercraft riding the entire length of Lake Huron.
Markel American president and COO, Timberlee Grove noted, “The Water Warrior’s love of watersports and desire to help people fits in well with the Markel Style. Markel is committed to the marine industry and excited about the opportunity to positively contribute.”
This year a team of five Markel American associates led by Lenny Richileau, Marine Director, will support the Water Warriors and Special Olympics Michigan by participating in the endurance ride during the week of July 28 through Aug. 1.
Richileau noted, “The Markel American team’s goal is to raise $15,000 for Special Olympics Michigan through contributions from the Company, their associates and insurance partners.”
