Chicago-based brokerage Acordia Inc. announced that Mark A. Green is the new vice president of alternative risk transfer. Green is responsible for assisting Acordia brokers with captives, risk retention groups, finite risk and other solutions that combine traditional insurance risk transfer with corporate finance and capital markets techniques.
Most recently, Green was with Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, where he was the Northern zone regional manager for Chubb Financial Solutions.
Prior to joining Chubb in January of 2002, Green worked for seven years with Swiss Re New Markets, where he worked in the securitization, casualty underwriting and corporate marketing divisions. Before Swiss Re, Green held a variety of marketing and underwriting positions for Discover Re and AIG. He began his insurance career in 1989 with the Chubb Group as a casualty underwriter in Minneapolis.
Green received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Macalester College. He also holds an MBA from Columbia University, where he graduated with honors.
