Schaumburg, Ill.-based insurer Zurich North America announced the appointment of Kenneth Marcus to account executive, a newly created marketing position for its Middle Markets business unit.
Based in the Chicago branch office, Marcus will focus on expanding the business unit’s market reach in Wisconsin. He will be responsible for managing relationships with agents and brokers to increase profitable production, implementing strategic business initiatives and partnering with other Zurich business units to address customer needs in the region.
Marcus was formerly a vice president, casualty, at Zurich Commercial and served as a consultant for Zurich North America. Prior to that, he served as a regional president at UNITRIN and vice president of corporate underwriting at SECURA. Marcus began his insurance career at Allstate/Northbrook Insurance Company, where he spent 22 years in underwriting and management. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
