North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Jim Poolman announced that a
public meeting to discuss Crop Hail Insurance for the 2004 season will be held in November for property and casualty companies, agents, and interested parties involved in the market.
Planned topics are:
• Discussion of the Crop Hail Advisory Task Force September 2003 report to the Commissioner.
• Discussion of changes to the current program resulting from Task Force recommendations.
• An overview of the revised crop hail filing program as it relates to the upcoming 2004 season.
• Any other matters related to the topic of crop hail insurance that participants wish to
discuss.
The meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Pioneer Room (Judicial Wing) of the State Capitol.
Upon completion of the public meeting, Department staff will be providing a technical training session for any insurance company filing staff or interested parties who are interested in learning more detail about the crop hail filing program changes and new filing procedures.
