Chicago-based Acordia Inc., the world’s sixth largest insurance brokerage and a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., has acquired the assets and business of Malenas Insurance Agency, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
The acquisition closed Oct. 1, 2003, and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Malenas Insurance Agency provides property/casualty and benefits insurance solutions for its clients and has been in business since 1980. The agency will be combined with the Acordia office at 1301 E. 9th St., Suite 3800, Cleveland.
