The Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa is holding a two-day training seminar focusing on farm and agribusiness insurance risks Oct. 19-20 in Des Moines.
The seminar, dubbed “The First Midwest Agribusiness Conference,” is designed for agents and brokers, customer service representatives, and company representatives who want specialized training in basic farm coverages to niche agribusiness risks, according to a statement from the Insurance Skills Center, which will conduct the training.
The conference is designed around the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS) Designation, and will be counted as continuing education credit. CE can be earned by simply attending, but those pursuing the AFIS designation must pass the exam given on day two.
The Kansas Association of Insurance Agents and the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska are also teaming up to help host the event. For more details, visit the Insurance Skills Center Web site or call (800) 375-8704.
