BWC Offering Safety Classes for Ohio Employers

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) will offer several classes designed to teach the basics of health and safety in the workplace.

“Safety education is an essential element in the overall success of Ohio business,” said James Conrad, BWC administrator/CEO. “If Ohio’s employers keep up with safety tactics and strategies for their industries and then communicate these issues to their employees, the result is a safer workplace and a safer Ohio.”

BWC hopes to decrease the number of claims by encouraging Ohioans to be proactive about safety on the job. In an effort to create positive change, BWC is offering several classes that focus not only on workplace safety but also ways in which Ohio businesses and their employees can eliminate injuries. These classes are free to all employers who have a current BWC policy.

All classes begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
