Toledo, Ohio-based Savage & Associates Inc. has expanded operations by acquiring the assets of Christie Financial Services, a full-service insurance agency in Oak Harbor, Ohio.
Christie Financial Services was founded in 1990 by Dave Christie, a well-known teacher and basketball coach in the Oak Harbor area about 30 miles from Toledo. Christie built a reputable business practice by satisfying the insurance and financial services needs of individuals, families and small businesses, many of whom have been clients of his agency for years.
Savage & Associates acquired Christie Financial Services after discussions with Christie late in 2004. Steve Spieldenner, a long-term associate at Savage & Associates, is managing a multi-disciplinary team of financial services professionals at Savage & Associates now addressing the needs of Christie Financial Services clients. This is the first acquisition of another insurance agency by Savage & Associates.
Founded in 1957, Savage & Associates also has offices in Findlay, Bowling Green and Archbold in addition to its Toledo headquarters.
