The Nebraska Automobile Insurance Assigned Risk Plan offers an online rating interface for certain private passenger risks applying for auto insurance coverage. The interface is a feature of an electronic application submission interface called “EASi,” which was introduced in February 2003. It is a way for registered producers to complete and submit automobile application data via the Internet. The resulting electronic version of the application can be printed, signed, and mailed along with the premium deposit payment and any other supporting documentation.
The online rating interface is integrated with a private passenger mechanism allowing registered producers to calculate an estimated rate for submitted applications. Step-by-step instructions can be found at www.aipso.com/EASi.
The total policy premium is an estimate, which is subject to change pending verification of motor vehicle driving history, vehicle use, and other information. The company reserves the right to adjust the estimated premium either prior to or after the issuance of the policy in accordance with Nebraska Plan rules.
The private passenger non-fleet application was revised to support the online rating interface and capture rating information for submitted private-passenger risks.
The Plan’s EASi online rating interface can be used to calculate an
estimated premium for private passenger risk applications, with the
exception of the following vehicles/vehicle types, which must be rated
manually: antique autos, any commercial risk, any risk with vehicles
principally garaged outside of Nebraska, farm vehicles, motor homes,
motorcycles, named non-owner, or non-pleasure use vehicles owned by a non-youthful member of the clergy.
