Ohio-based American Financial Group Inc. announced that David Witzgall has been named vice president and treasurer of the company.
Witzgall joined American Financial in 1976 and held a number of accounting and finance positions until he left to become vice president and controller of publicly-held General Cable Corporation in 1993. He re-joined the company in 2001, becoming the vice
president and controller of Great American Insurance Company.
Through the operations of the Great American Insurance Group, AFG is engaged primarily in property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialized commercial products for businesses, and in the sale of retirement annuities, life and supplemental health insurance products.
