This week, the Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services released their most popular free consumer publications in Arabic.
“Michigan’s ethnic diversity presents us with opportunities to provide information in a variety of forms,” said Commissioner Linda A. Watters. “Providing key consumer protection information to Arabic speaking Michigan citizens enables them to take advantage of information that we sometimes take for granted.”
The publications released are: Brief Explanation of Michigan No-Fault Insurance; Consumer’s Guide to No-Fault Automobile Insurance In Michigan; Homeowners Insurance: Replacement Cost vs. Repair Cost Policies; Are You Drowning in Debt; and, Should I be Suspicious?
These publications are now available on the OFIS website at www.michigan.gov/ofis in the publications section, or can be requested by the public toll free at 1-877-999-6442.
Commissioner Watters said, “Consumers deserve protection regardless of what language they speak. This effort increases access to information about pocketbook issues of importance to all Michigan residents.”
