Southfield, Mich.-based First Mercury Financial Corp. recently announced the opening of an underwriting office in Irvine, Calif. and the hiring of LaTrina Green as vice president. Green is responsible for managing this office’s specialty casualty underwriting operations. The Irvine office joins the company’s other underwriting offices located in Boston, Naples, Fla., Chicago, and Dallas.
According to First Mercury’s release, Green has over 13 years of underwriting and marketing experience in the insurance industry, with an emphasis in specialty casualty business. Most recently she was an assistant branch manager at C.V. Starr & Co. after previously serving as a senior underwriter. Prior experience includes her position as a senior production specialist – Employment Practices Liability and more recently a professional liability manager with Western
Risk Specialists.
