The State Auto Insurance Companies announced today its introduction of real-time rating via SilverPlume Rating Solutions’ PL Rating for agents.
State Auto is partnering with SilverPlume to offer their Web-based comparative rating tool, PL Rating, to agents in Ohio and Kentucky. PL Rating generates accurate auto and homeowners quotes from multiple carriers through single-entry transactions. State Auto’s
“RealLink” technology takes the PL Rating quote request and posts it to netXpress, State Auto’s Web-based policy processing and issuance system. A premium is returned to PL Rating and a policy can be issued and processed immediately via PL Rating and netXpress.
“With netXpress and PL Rating, agents can expect faster response time without repeatedly entering data on individual carrier Web sites,” said State Auto Vice President-Director of Information Technology Doug Allen. “This is the latest in a series of enhancements we’ve
delivered to make working with State Auto as easy as possible for our independent agency partners.”
In recent months, State Auto has introduced real-time rating and bridging via Transformation Station, PowerQuote, and Web-based rating via EZLynx in many of its operating states.
The State Auto Insurance Companies, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, are engaged primarily in writing personal and business insurance products exclusively through approximately 3,400
independent insurance agencies in 33 states.
