Columbus, Ohio-based Grange Insurance recently named Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee to its board of directors effective Oct. 1, 2008. Gee replaces James L. Setterlin who recently announced his retirement from the Board after 21 years of service.

Before returning to The Ohio State University in 2007 for a second term as president, Gee served as chancellor at Vanderbilt University and president at Brown University. Prior to his initial tenure at Ohio State, Gee served as president at the University of Colorado and West Virginia University. His background also includes experience as a dean and professor, as well as a judicial fellow and staff assistant to the U.S. Supreme Court.
