The interim chief executive of North Dakota’s workers’ compensation agency say he’s pleased with a new consultant’s report that found no evidence Workforce Safety and Insurance wrongly denied injured workers claims.
Interim CEO Bruce Furness says the report is worth bragging about.
A WSI board committee has reviewed a draft of the report. A final report is due later this month.
The evaluation was done by Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker, a certified public accountant and management consultant headquartered in Maine.
WSI attorney Tim Wahlin says the consultants looked at 100 denied claims and found “no inappropriately handled cases.”
