Robert Donnay, manager, industry/government relations, GMAC Insurance in Southfield, Mich. was elected chair of the Insurance Institute of Michigan (IIM). The elections took place on Dec. 2 at the IIM Annual Meeting in Lansing.
Other officers elected were: Vice Chair Adam Kornick, Michigan product manager, Progressive Insurance, Mayfield Village, Ohio; Secretary Amy Shalley, legislative liaison, State Farm Insurance, Portage, Mich.; and Treasurer James Wilds, senior vice president of Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Co., Frankenmuth, Mich.
Five individuals were elected to three-year terms on the IIM Executive Committee. They are Steve Hess, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, Lansing; David Field, regional counsel, Allstate Insurance in Farmington Hills; Rich Rasmussen, president and chief operating officer, Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Co., Lansing; Mike Costello, senior vice president and general counsel at Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Southfield; and Jim Laing, president at Wolverine Mutual Insurance Company in Dowagiac.
In addition, Mike Puerner, vice president/general counsel, Hastings Mutual Insurance Co., Hastings, was elected to a two-year term on the IIM Executive Committee.
Headquartered in Lansing, Mich., IIM is the largest state-level, trade association representing the property/casualty insurance industry in Michigan.
